Blah Blah Gallery presents its third annual juried exhibition, Holding Pattern. The exhibition was curated by gallery director Megan Galardi, with jurors Shannon Maldonado and Libby Rosa.

Holding Pattern brings together work shaped by repetition, delay, and internal logic. Gestures recur and accumulate, stitching, beading, casting, layering, assembling, until effort remains visible and form resists resolution. Systems emerge through repetition rather than explanation, allowing process and decision-making to stay present on the surface.

Figures appear unresolved or deliberately staged, cropped, dissolved, or held at a distance. Materials often associated with softness, including wax, fiber, beads, and textiles, are redirected toward tension and restraint, asked to carry pressure rather than comfort. Works investigate controlled or constructed environments, while others rely on symbolic or belief-based frameworks to hold their logic in place.

Holding Pattern refers to a state of suspension, a condition of being kept in motion without arrival. The exhibition lingers in a state of suspension, staying with repetition and delay rather than resolution.
